Somewhere in Montenegro

Before continuing my journey and now leaving Kosovo behind me, I spent another day at the river.

An ideal place to stand a day longer. As it turned out around noon, this small oasis belly is very popular with locals and holidaymakers. Understandable, because there are some nice, shady spots by the river that invite you to hang out, have a barbecue and swim.

In the afternoon it is almost as busy as in an outdoor pool during the summer holidays. Most of them also had holidays here. Besides, it was Sunday.

As is so often the case, I was the only vacationer of my kind. I think I got lost in the crowd most of the time. Also my shady spot where the day rippled along in a relaxed manner. In addition to reading and writing, the time just flew by doing nothing or observing what was happening around me. It was mainly large families who all had fun together. We grilled, jumped into the water, fished or just slept. Of course, a few young adults also took the opportunity to attract some attention with their souped-up Golf and trunk sound system. Nonetheless, a very pleasant atmosphere.

I almost forgot to mention that I was invited for coffee. He had lived in Nuremberg. Very nice family.

All quiet again in the evening. Apart from me and another camper who had come later, nobody was there anymore. Unfortunately, what is left is too much garbage. A big problem in Kosovo too.

A day like I had wanted for a long time. A day to arrive and be. Pleasant rest in the evening.

The day after, a bit of distance is spent overnight. I still have almost two weeks until I finally meet the person I've been looking forward to since their visit in May. This time in Slovenia and not just for a week. I can hardly wait and so I almost have to slow myself down a bit to fully enjoy and take advantage of the last two weeks. After all, Serbia is still waiting for me and I've actually been looking forward to Bosnia for a long time.

Back on the road, the flow comes back by itself and so the last few weeks of this trip will not only be the "return trip", but will continue to be the full travel experience, which is why I'm on the road.

Somewhere behind the Kosovan mountains lies Montenegro. A few months ago I was still in the south, sitting on the coast. This time I cross the country in the very north, not far from the Serbian border.

Lots of forest and mountains. A lot of nature. Small isolated rural towns are scattered here in the land of "the black mountains"

After a long drive I find a cozy place by a river. Perfect for one night.
