Cape Tribulation and Daintree 4WD Tour, 22.10.18

प्रकाशित कीता: 23.10.2018

This is specially for my English course. Since I missed my English lesson this semester while I am in Australia, I am doing my homework and writing one day from my blog in English. Understanding English in Australia is very difficult as most people have a strong slang.

We will be picked up at 7:30 from our accommodation this morning by Billy Tea Bush Safaris for our Cape Tribulation and Daintree 4WD Tour.

We will join our guide and travel north along the scenic route via Mossman to Cape Tribulation. We were 16 different people from all over the world.

Lush farmland contrasts with seascape as we approach the lovely Daintree Riverland. We had time for a short morning tea break, later we all boarded for an informative river cruise. We relaxed and enjoyed the splendor only the Daintree can offer while we learned about Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests, and wildlife. This is nature at its best! And real, we saw one wild Crocodile that was 2 meters long and one that was 4 meters long.

Afterwards, we ascended the Alexandra Range and paused for a panoramic view of the World Heritage Tropical Rainforest. The azure color of the Coral Sea was very beautiful.

We experienced the rainforest intimately on the elevated National Park Boardwalk. Accurate interpretations of flora and fauna were given with enough time for photos. We learned about the totally unique Cassowary and other wildlife species within this habitat.

A delicious barbecue lunch with fresh salads was served, along with a cool drink. After lunch, we fed the sweet Wallabies.

Our tour took us beyond Cape Tribulation along 7 kilometers of the 4WD Bloomfield Track to Emmagen Creek. This was the time to refresh. Several people swam in the river. We got to taste test seasonal tropical fruit and have a cup of traditional Daintree Billy Tea. Besides Mango, I never heard of these fruits before, but they all tasted very good.

At Cape Tribulation, we had a little time to go to the beach and boardwalk to the photo platform overlooking the mountain and coast. We saw where the Rainforest meets the Sea. The view was marvelous.

After a short afternoon refreshment stop, we crossed the Daintree River by cable ferry and began our homeward journey back to our hotel.

The weather was fine the whole day, approximately 25 to 30 degrees, and in the Rainforest very humid. So an eventful day came to an end.
