Day 33 Wanaka

Directly drove back from Auckland to Wanaka via Tekapo. The route passes by the Oamara Clay Cliffs and the Lindis Pass and is beautiful. Arrive in the afternoon and go for an ice cream. The ice cream parlor in Wanaka only has homemade ice cream and my favorite flavor is definitely "sea salted caramel". There is no taxi driver or shuttle as early in the morning as I want to leave. I have to do everything myself, as always. So I decide to walk the 6 km on the Te Aora Trail. That's just under an hour and a good warm-up program.
