Brisbane: Queensland Art Gallery and City Hall

The weather is unfortunately not very good, it rained heavily yesterday and today it is cloudy as well. A good day to go back to the city.
Queensland Art Gallery is huge and offers an amazing variety of objects and paintings: modern and contemporary art, indigenous art, as well as European art from Impressionism and Expressionism. There wasn't enough time to discover everything.
I rediscovered a painter whose paintings caught my attention in the small collection of Brisbane paintings at City Hall: Vida Lahey, 1882 - 1968, lived and worked in Brisbane.
But then we had a guided tour of the tower of City Hall and were chauffeured up to the bell tower with the original elevator from 1930, from where we could admire the view of Brisbane from above.
