Day 17 - back to the starting point

Penultimate day of our Baltic tour. And last border crossing - goodbye Estonia, hello Latvia again.😊

In the past few days, we have not only passed through or extensively explored several countries.🔍 We have also been shown our own limits: capacity for impressions, concentration while driving, motivation for packing and unpacking our suitcases.🤔

It was clear that it wouldn't be a completely relaxing vacation. Nevertheless, there are moments when you just feel a bit tired and want to do nothing. Chill out...😎

Therefore, the past few days have been very low-key. On the one hand, because of our energy levels, and on the other hand, because there were no more highlights on the agenda. Today was no exception...

We took a walk through Pärnu after breakfast, which is nice but doesn't offer much else. Besides, it was just too hot...😓 So it seemed like everyone in Pärnu was heading to the beach, while we got in the car for the final leg to Riga.

Short break at the Estonia/Latvia border crossing, which we crossed without any spectacle in a small village. Signs, cameras, an old watchtower from the past.🚧 That's it. No one else...👨‍✈️

Stretching our legs on the boardwalk in the reed bed next door.🌾 The stone jetty led to the sea, but it was too far for us.

Afternoon snack on the beach in Tuja. The sea sparkled beautifully and was tempting.🌟🌊 But today we didn't go swimming, we wanted to reach Riga.

We got stuck in traffic on the way to the hotel during rush hour. That's the annoying thing about city hotels!🙄 But soon we'll enjoy the advantage - a walk to the old town on an evening stroll.👍

Tomorrow: Get the suitcases organized so that they meet the weight restrictions at the airport.😊 Kill some time and then return the Lithuanian rental car in Latvia. That'll be exciting...😳

Oh, and the animals found it too hot today. Fur and all...😓 They preferred to sleep in the shady handbag.😊
