Comfortably after getting up, we left our KOA Campground Cherry Hill in College Park. It was supposed to be a travel day. We passed Baltimore. Secretly, I had the plan to maybe visit my IKEA ServiceCenter of the USA and especially my 'Partner in Crime' Stoyan, who I have been visiting until a few days ago. But it turned out a little different.
We bypassed Baltimore's highway ring because there were several toll booths there, and we chose to drive right through the city. The good thing was that we could take a look at the Ravens and Orioles stadiums and soak up the great baseball atmosphere at Robinson Plaza. There was a bit of traffic, but that gave us enough time to look around. The harbor was really beautiful, I was impressed. A bit further north, we decided to stop in White Marsh after all. There is an IKEA and a lot of other stores, like a shopping town center. Traudi was still looking for Converse shoes. The area was so huge that IKEA was a bit far to walk. Besides, Stoyan wasn't in the office today, it being Saturday. So I just left it at that, with just an outside look. After all, I'm on vacation, as my colleagues have already written to me.
We bought shoes, had lunch, pizza - very delicious. And off we went on the wild ride. We still wanted to go to Pennsylvania, the Independence State. Many people know the capital city Philadelphia as the place where the United States Declaration of Independence was signed. Even today, you can see the famous Liberty Bell there. That was supposed to be our destination tomorrow.
Today, we aimed for a Walmart near the city again. Unfortunately, the choice was not perfect. It was a rather shady and lively area where we didn't think we would be able to sleep peacefully at night. So we continued to the next one, which meant going back a bit. We found what we needed in Chester and found a nice place. It was going to be very hot again at night... when will it be autumn?
