We decide to sail from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic today, despite the unclear weather conditions.
Almost 500 km along the Pyrenees, which are within sight.
Past Carcassone.
The route is quite boring and goes on forever.
In France there are also bullfighting arenas in every town here, we didn't know that😬
Our first destination is Cap de l'Homy, a recommendation from Robert. We arrive there around 7 p.m. An endless empty beach and a huge, almost empty campsite.
The season on the Atlantic has definitely not started yet. Shops and restaurants are all still closed.
The campsite is in a pine forest, which is probably great in the summer, but with the current temperatures we would like some sun. At night the rain is pouring down on Rudy again.

The next morning we drive further north, for hours through pine forests to the Dune du Pilat.
The Dune du Pilat, also known as the Grande Dune du Pilat, on the Atlantic coast near Arcachon is the highest migrating dune in Europe.
It is up to 110 meters high and 500 meters wide.
Paragliders float along the dune here. It is said to be one of the most beautiful paragliding areas in Europe.
We continue north via Archachon via Lacanau to Carcans Plage.
Again through never-ending pine forests, the landscape here is not particularly exciting.
Here, too, we only find one parking space in the pine grove.
The beach here is also endless and apparently a true surfer and paraglider paradise.
The place is also more or less in hibernation.
