Mo 6.9. Saltstraumen - Bodø - Lofoten

The tourist information in Bodø doesn't open until 10:00 am, but we're leaving early and using the time to shop and refuel. Then we pick up our postal voting documents, which the Bonn election office sent to Bodø as requested! In one of the world's largest libraries - according to the lady at the tourist information - we fill out the ballot papers and take them to the post office - citizen's duty fulfilled!

Just before Bodø, we left the Kystriksvei 17, and we can highly recommend this varied route! We also enjoyed the diverse wildlife on the road signs. Unfortunately, we didn't see any of the announced moose and reindeer, but at least we occasionally spotted horses and riders. On the other hand, there were often sheep, even without the announced signs, happily lying in the middle of the road, as well as herds of cows frequently encountered on the road.

Arrived at our great wooden house / rorbuer! The Lofoten Islands have been a place of longing for us since our bicycle tour in June 2014, which we definitely want to experience again.
