After a long and restful night (for once only about 22 degrees) at our deserted campsite in the middle of nowhere, we head back to the sea, past the Hinchinbrook Lookout (great view over the wetlands and rainforest with Hinchinbrook Island in the background) to Mission Beach! We are greeted with hot temperatures and a heavy rain shower (we now know for a few days why the rainforest is called rainforest..). We take a walk on the wild Mission Beach. Rainforest and palm trees right on the beach - wow! And our camper site today is right next to the rainforest - the door will definitely be closed tonight...
