Tag 340 - once again on the road on Koh Chang with the scooter

Hello everyone

Today was a real holiday, without a specific program.

We started leisurely as always and stayed a bit longer on the terrace. In the morning it still looked like it was going to be a rainy day - but we were lucky.

By noon it was really sunny, we got ready for the day and sat on the scooter.

Once again we drove towards the mangrove path and made the first stop after a short time at a beautiful restaurant on the beach. We treated ourselves to a delicious Thai lunch and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere for a while.

Afterwards, we continued on the scooter and stopped wherever we felt like it and discovered something that caught our attention.

At around 3 pm, we found an unused harbor, which naturally caught our full attention! We still find things like that totally interesting ☺️

We walked around the small harbor, flew the drone and took a longer break.

After the break, we continued a bit further in the direction we were already heading, but not for long. The weather had changed again, it was getting colder and we were expecting rain again. We decided, since it is really vacation, to deviate from the original plan and turn around.

On the way back, we stopped at the same restaurant again, had a cozy dinner and just as we wanted to drive back to the hotel.... we had another flat tire...

This time we took care of the problem ourselves, because we didn't want to lose so much time again because of the repair. We asked a few locals for advice and were directed to a nearby house. When we arrived there, we first thought we were wrong: It looked like a private house and the whole family was sitting outside having dinner. Shyly, we asked if they could help us with the flat tire, then everything happened very quickly ☺️

One of them immediately got up from the table, grabbed our scooter, went behind the house for a short time and came back with a new tube. After another five minutes, the problem was fixed, we paid, thanked them repeatedly, and started the last few minutes of the drive.

In the hotel, we ordered a Banana Split each to the room and enjoyed it in our bathtub ☺️

So, that's it from our day 😉

Oh, by the way, on the way we booked an 8-9 hour trekking tour through the jungle tomorrow, up to the second highest mountain of Koh Chang.

We're really excited and can't wait to tell you all about it ☺️
