In paradise at the foot of Arenal (02/01/2022)

Relaxing and truly "arriving" were the keywords of today's day and Kathi had researched and booked the right thing for that, namely the hot springs facility at the Tabacon hotel, about 10 minutes by car from our resort at the foot of the Arenal volcano. After a hearty breakfast (yes, beans were included again ;-)), we packed our backpack and cruised to the facility with Kim Lee

Even the first visit showed the splendor and natural beauty of this great facility. Thanks to a day pass, even non-hotel guests can enter, and what awaits is a breathtaking backdrop of warm water streams and plant life. Since it is difficult to describe this in words, I refer to the photos at this point. The hot springs have temperatures between 35 and 38 degrees and invite you to splash around. So the day passes quickly with reading, daydreaming, and relaxing.

In the evening, there was an included dinner in one of the operator's restaurants. The menu, just like yesterday, offered a colorful mix of dishes with an international touch. Salad variations and ceviche as appetizers, great fish and Black Angus burger as main courses, a great meal and the relaxation gained made for a successful day.

The Daily Two:

Insight: The first two full days in Costa Rica also show in terms of culinary delights that US-Americans are the main target group. In addition to the food selection (steaks, burgers are always available), it also seems that food portions are kept larger, according to the motto: "Go big or Go home" (by the way, it really appears along the road as a slogan ;-)).

Moment of Happiness: To observe the full glory of vegetation in the river in volcanic rock at almost 40 degrees is a special experience and provides extraordinary relaxation. Definitely try it yourself!
