Day 4.3: Pendeen - Sennen Cove

We started the day with a very filling English Breakfast. After a short visit to our pub friend John, we were able to admire the Geevor Tin Mine. This mine was in operation until 1990. Arsenic was also mined at the old Levant Mine, along with tin. Without protective clothing, of course. Crazy.

Shortly after the two mines, things got exciting as we had to cross a rock wall. A cliff to the right. Phew.

We continued with many old mine buildings, shafts, and chimneys of the Botallack Mine, which 'played a role' as Wheal Leisure in the Poldark series.

Afterwards, we discovered Cape Cornwall. A truly beautiful spot. And after Cape Cornwall, the view was clear to Sennen Cove and Land's End.

Unfortunately, it seemed closer than it actually was. But: we made it.

In Sennen Cove, we met Hugh and Juliet, who visited us from Kingsbridge. During dinner together, we laughed and talked a lot... 🤗❤️
