Day 44 - Looking for the right waves

After the long day yesterday, we didn't set an alarm for today and therefore we wake up around 09:00. While Marco is checking the travel guide for possible surf beaches, Yves is writing the report of the last day by the sea. After a hearty breakfast, we rent a surfboard right next to our accommodation. We transport the board (as usual in America) on the roof of Freddy and drive to Launiupoko Beach. According to the travel guide, this should be a good surf spot.

However, the waves are a bit weak and not breaking so well. After several unsuccessful attempts and the advice of a local, we pack our things and go to Slaugtherhouse Beach - where we were already bodysurfing on Friday.

Therefore, we first go out with the bodysurf board and can make some great rides. For once, we even have underwater footage for you - we're still working on the camera work. Finally, we try it with the surfboard, not quite easy. But we manage to make a few rides :-) It's already getting dark and we are the last ones as we pack up our boards and drive home.

For dinner, we have homemade hamburgers and a portion of comedy with the Schmirinskis and Divertimento.
