We had an early breakfast because we had a long tour at 08:00 today. Together with another camp group. We visited multiple spots close to the seaside.
We drove for about 2hrs to get to the first one. I used the opportunity to ask Wilson a question which had been on my mind for a long time.
When I visited hong kong 4years ago the hostel put a toilet roll on my bed which confused me a lot. However when I went to a restaurant to use the bathroom there was no toilet paper, like not even a holder for toilet paper.
So I asked Wilson if this was a normal thing and he actually said yes. In hong kong they have financial problems specifically with the bathrooms. So refilling toilet paper or having it at all.
So it's normal to just carry a roll of toilet paper around in hong kong.
First stop was a little beach covered in algea so it was very slippery to walk on. There were seals on the beach and warning signs that you shouldnt get closer than a 100m, but we still did.
The seals didn't care
Next we came to a beautiful cliff side with sea gulls, crashing waves, caves and stone arches. Even with the rainy weather it was still unreal just how perfect some of these spots looked.
I think Iceland is one of the most if not the most beautiful place that I have travelled to so far.
We then saw a little church and the black beach. At the black beach were several stones which were lifted by the apprentice fisherman back in the day to determine if you were strong enough to work as a fisherman.
I was strong enough but just barely.
While we were out walking around, a park ranger crashed into the car of the other group. Thankfully nobody was in the car at the moment and the door stayed closed while driving.
We moved on to different waterfalls even one were you could walk behind the waterfall.
Everybody was taking pictures with their camera while I tried my best with my little phone camera.
We got home at around 22:00 it didn't feel that late since it was still bright out, just our tired legs and wet shoes reminded us that we had been out and about for the whole day.
We saw some really beautiful scenery today.
