24.01. Tuesday, Lake Tekapo, Twizel, 60km, sunny, partly cloudy, 20 degrees

Discovered a magnificent cafe by the lake, enjoying our cappuccino and espresso. During a walk by the lake, Malte enjoys the clear water with his feet. Collecting and throwing stones brings him joy. We have lunch by the lakeside and then continue to Twizel. Overnight stay at a FCP on a canal leading to a hydroelectric power station. We drive down a rather steep slope from the dam after discovering the other campervans below, without knowing that there is a comfortable access from the road. But we manage the descent with a little thrill. A beautiful view of the mountains, next to us a small lake with ducklings.
