Today we started at half past 7 in the morning with the shuttle to the starting point of the Roys Peak Track. It was still a bit cloudy, but perfect for hiking. At some point, we even disappeared in the clouds and could hardly believe that we had such bad luck again. But after an hour of waiting at the summit, the clouds finally cleared up and we were rewarded with a breathtaking view. In the end, we were at an altitude of 1580m, of which we hiked 1250m ourselves. It was one of my most challenging hikes so far, but the view was absolutely worth it.
In the evening, I went to the cinema with some people, which is one of the most famous in New Zealand. The sofas were super comfortable and there were homemade cookies. And even though I was dead tired, we still went to the karaoke party. So it was a day filled with activities.
