Waterfalls near Uvita

The Nauyaca waterfall near the Dominical province can be reached through a hike of about four kilometers through the jungle. However, along the hiking trail in the rainforest, we quickly realized that the four kilometers are most likely as the crow flies. It took us about two hours to reach the waterfall, mostly uphill and with temperatures around 30 degrees and very high humidity. Definitely not an easy walk, and we were pretty glad when we reached the waterfall and could plunge into the cool water. The Nauyaca waterfall consists of an upper part and the lower fall, where you can swim in the pool.
