From Aubrac, it's almost 1000 meters downhill to the valley of the lovely Lot. With a distance of 30 km, it's an average distance, but everything becomes completely different in terms of landscape and culture. From the lonely heights to the Middle Ages, everywhere UNESCO World Heritage.
We're both in a great mood, yesterday was a very nice day.
We descend from 1300 meters high into the valley.
At an altitude of 800 meters, we cross the first ancient pilgrim bridge.
Arriving at an altitude of 400 meters, you find yourself in a medieval world in St-Côme-d'Olt:
We arrive in Espalion shortly after 4 p.m. with picture-perfect weather, a beautiful town in the upper Lot Valley.
I'm a little disappointed because I wanted to buy a small hiking tent in a special hiking equipment store, but it wasn't in stock. The search for accommodations this week was so annoying that I wanted to become independent.
But a cold beer, an attentive hostel make up for it, the day is just too beautiful.
