12&13|01|19, The next chapter of the work is completed

Hey guys,

it's done! We have finished the chapter on 'Talley's' and the work at the shipyard. Today was our last day of work and we are both very happy that we can now move on to traveling.

Yesterday we worked until the afternoon, then as usual we went to McDonald's and then to the beach. A daily routine that has become a habit! 😅

Today was the day. For the next period of time, we were awakened for the last time by the shrill sound of the alarm clock. First, we went to the supermarket! Since it was our last day and we really liked our colleagues, we decided to treat everyone to a few beers. Of course, we didn't buy any New Zealand beer, because as Germans we are not already reduced enough to beer, we bought some German beer. So we started work with a few bottles of Beck's and Krombacher. The work was really fun, knowing that we were doing it for the last time! At half past 11, it was time. We clocked out for the last time. Our colleagues gave us many well wishes for our further journey. You could tell that they really appreciated our work and we received a lot of praise for being 'really hard and exceptionally precise workers.' After one final photo with our boss 'Barrel,' a really cool guy, we left. I also took a few more pictures of the workplace itself, which I will include in the attachment.

To celebrate the day, we had a nice dinner at a Turkish restaurant here in Nelson, which was really delicious.

Tomorrow we will enjoy sleeping in to the fullest before the journey continues! I'm really excited and happy to share it all with you! 😊

I think I will also go to the hairdresser's tomorrow, as it wouldn't hurt to take a look at my hair! 😅
