Day 11 - 9.9.2024 Drive to San Francisco

Yesterday we drove from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco. The route took us along the old Pony Express route, the first mail connection established from the East Coast to the West Coast to Sacramento.

After about 3 hours of driving, we entered San Francisco via the Bay Bridge😍.

We already had our first amazing view of San Francisco under bright sunshine. Of course, the first thing that caught our eye was the Golden Gate Bridge, shining in the beautiful light.

After arriving at the hotel, we set off on foot to Fisherman's Wharf.

There we had a meal in a restaurant and then headed to the Cable Car stop. We had to wait a long time for a connection back to the hotel. But it was worth it because we rode the cable car back to the hotel. That was great.😍
