Tag 1 and 2: Arrival and so on...

02.01.-03.01.2020

So, the time has finally come. On 02.01.2020, eight of us set off from Düsseldorf. First, we took a gigantic A380 to Dubai and after a small stop/snack, we continued on a not-so-big Boeing 777 to Bangalore. Without any incidents at customs regarding the import of the prostheses, everything went quickly today and after half an hour we already met our familiar driver and organizer from 'Viestavacations' right at the exit. Mahadev recognized us immediately as well. We have similar temperatures as in July, around 28 degrees. But for us, it's actually quite pleasant because, I believe, everyone was glad to leave the current weather in Germany behind for a few days. Then we took the bus to Bangalore City to the hotel. This time, to our disappointment, there was a little less honking ;-)

In the evening, we had a typical dinner with Chicken Massalla and Naan bread and many other, sometimes super spicy specialties. Extremely good.

Conclusion of the first, short arrival day: everyone is a bit tired but happy. A fun group has formed. Including international humor. The Iranian likes to test the limits of spicy food at the risk of his life. And one person got food poisoning in Dubai and unfortunately won't be joining us on Saturday. But we'll help him recover and he'll be there on Sunday.
