We are extremely excited this morning to leave our campground in Norheimsund. It was the most expensive campground we've stayed at so far, but also the worst. And to add to our frustration, there was no opportunity to refill fresh water in the morning. However, we did get our money back!👍Then we headed towards Gol. The drive to Granvin was along the Hardangerfjord, offering breathtaking views. The road was so narrow at some points that only one car could pass through, especially with oncoming traffic! The RV7 is rightfully called an adventure road. Luckily, there were passing places along the way. Through the Mabødal, we reached the impressive Vøringfossen. This waterfall plunges 170 meters into the depths. We continued on winding roads, going up to Eidfjord, the largest mountain plateau in Europe, the Hardangervidda. At an altitude of 1000 to 1200 meters, there is an arctic vegetation. The mountain lakes were partially frozen and there was still snow in many places. We passed Geilo, which has developed from a mountain village to the most important winter sports center in Norway. Now we are going downhill again through the Hallingdaselva. We followed the valley to Gol and found a campground there. The drive was very beautiful but exhausting😴
