Day 17 - from Takaka to Picton

In the morning, after 12 days in Takaka, the rain finally caught up with me again.

It's only drizzling lightly though. And while it rained at varying intensities during the drive over Takaka Hill, it's already over in Marahau.

I buy myself a Realfruit Cherry Ice Cream in Riwaka - DELICIOUS, even if it's only 10 o'clock in the morning.

Then I continue towards Nelson and Havelock and from there past the Marlborough Sounds.

In the early afternoon, I reach Picton, where I will take the ferry to the North Island tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock.

I wander around the town for a bit, refuel the RAV4 again, and then have a cozy dinner at the Fish & Chips restaurant across the street.
