Volcanoes and Baker Lake

9.9. We have already been in the States for a month - how time flies!

We start the day with a cup of tea and an hour of yoga/stretching. Oh, that feels good! We haven't stretched for so long... ;) We feel great afterwards and breakfast tastes exceptionally delicious. We pack up and head towards Cascades National Park. Libertybell Mountain and Mount Hozomeen impressively present themselves to us along the Scenic Highway. We are now in the area of the volcanoes and Mount Baker, which we catch a glimpse of through a detour to Baker Lake, is beautifully covered in glaciers. We can actually secure one of the last two campsites at Panorama Point Campground: right in front of the lake between giant tall fir trees. I discover blackberry bushes and of course can't resist, it calls for another blackberry porridge. Meanwhile, Roman takes a nap in the car.

We eat late.

In the middle of the night, I wake up drenched in sweat, no idea why. Looks like I'll have to do laundry again soon...
