We continued our journey towards the fjords. Along the way, we wanted to visit some beautiful waterfalls. The road to the town of Ovre Ardal had about 50 hairpin turns. With a seven-meter-long motorhome, the 180-degree curves were quite challenging - especially with oncoming traffic! But we were lucky and encountered hardly any vehicles. Sheep would cross our road from time to time - those animals were really calm. Finally, in the valley, we started our little hike through the pure nature. Unfortunately, it was raining, so we didn't stay out for too long. Bruno didn't want to be carried anymore either. Ever since he became so mobile, long car rides and walks are no longer possible because he wants to constantly move. In the car, we regularly have to sing, play finger games, goof around, or distract him with oat rings.
After the waterfalls, we went back up the hairpin turns and continued to the fjord. We wanted to visit the UNESCO stave church in Ovre. The quite small building entirely made of wood was adorned with ornaments and was surrounded by a tiny cemetery. Our parking spot offered us a phenomenal view of the fjord.
