still on koh tao for another 2 days before heading to khanom. it's a small village on the east coast where we stayed in a guesthouse run by a Swiss. from there, we took a minibuss to surat thani and then headed further into khao sok national park. on the first evening, we visited a monkey farm with lots of monkeys. the next day, we did something really special. we bathed with an elephant. it was the first time for both of us to be so close to an elephant. it was a very gentle elephant and we were able to touch it, brush it, and later feed it bananas without any problems. in the afternoon, we went on a rafting trip with two rubber tubes. of course, we also rented scooters and had an excursion the next day. we had to drive for about 1.5 hours to the other side of the national park. there, we arrived at a lake and spent the whole day on a boat, exploring the beautiful landscape.
