Convert and breathe fire

Good evening to Germany,

today we went to Wat Arun Temple. It was very impressive again, ☺️ but unfortunately due to the upcoming funeral of the king, several parts of the temple complex are closed. They are restoring and polishing with all their might. We quickly finished the tour of the complex. I wasn't bothered by it much, because it was incredibly hot today and the humidity is a dream!

We had to go to the train station 🚃 to pick up our tickets for our onward journey to Ayutthaya. We decided to walk there because the train station is very close to Chinatown. We walked through Chinatown and the smells that entered our noses were quite disgusting. I asked Daniela, how can they stand it all day long. After 2 minutes at some stands, I felt like 😣 vomiting. But it is still amazing to see how the people there offer their goods and are very nice to us.

So after feeling like we were running through a maze in Chinatown, we came across a - as Google says - 'Royal Temple second 😉class'. Well then, let's take a look at this one. We went into the temple and there was a monk sitting on the floor blessing the people. Daniela said, come on Anke, it's your turn now! Okay, 😏 then I will! I went to the monk and knelt down. He mumbled something and then tapped my forehead with a wet bamboo brush. 😲 After that, he tied a bracelet around my wrist. Ceremony completed! And? Am I converted now??????

In any case, we had a lot of fun 😬😁 and then headed to the train station. There we picked up our tickets. On the way back, we stood on a bridge and I was staring at the dirty water. I almost dropped everything in shock when I saw something floating in the water. There was a small alligator 🐊 swimming there. Unbelievable. Daniela calmly said: yes, they exist here. Hmmmm, I was stunned 🙉 and followed it along the shore for a while.

For dinner, we went to Bangkok Story today. It was a really nice place. 😊 My dish was also very delicious. Daniela ordered a 'spicy' dish, but she didn't realize this note on the menu. I thought to myself, okay, she likes 😬 spicy food.

Well, Daniela looked like Grisu after the first bite. I didn't say anything to her because I knew that only fire would come out. After a while, she said to me, this is really spicy... 😤. Would you like to try 'a grain of rice'. I put a grain in my mouth and the part of my tongue that came into contact with the grain 💀 still feels numb. How can anyone eat this. Help! Daniela then ordered something else, but Grisu didn't leave her easily.

After dinner, we went back to the hotel and enjoyed our time at the pool. That's where we are now, and I'm busy texting 👍. Daniela is reading the travel guide.

We have to get up early tomorrow and go to the train station. We're going to Ayutthaya!🚃

PS: Daniela said that the younger generation doesn't know who Grisu is 🙉🙈. Grisu the little dragon, 🐲who really wanted to become a firefighter! 😂
