Camino Francés

The great thing about backpacking and traveling without a big plan is that you can change the plan at any time!!!

After a sleepless night on the beach in Gijon, it was impossible to continue walking today, so I spontaneously came up with the idea of avoiding complete solitude and finally experiencing the pilgrim feeling... by switching to the Camino Francés. So off to the bus and down to the main Camino... but before that, I got to see the amazing beach during low tide, yesterday the tide was all the way up to the city walls.

Now it's time to take the bus over the mountains to Leon, from here I already know the way but that's okay. Although I don't have a pilgrim guidebook for this route, you don't really need one... the route is much better signposted than the Norte. When in doubt, just ask or follow someone.

In Leon, I took the time to explore the beautiful city once again.

Tomorrow, I will start here on the first stage... let's see how many people I will meet here now...

My plan now is to have no plan, except to be in Santiago de Compostela on 07/29.
