day off

Cyhoeddwyd: 06.09.2020

It was expressed that the vacation was very active, so today we just wanted to go to the market in the city and spend the rest of the day on the couch.

So, we started this morning in the city.

Bakeries, butcher shops, and cheese shops (Fromagerie sounds better...) were already open in the city, so there was a lot going on. But where was the market??? I reluctantly put together a sentence in French from memory and asked a lady as we stood in line at the bakery. But she started speaking French so fast that I mentally checked out after 2 words. So either the market doesn't happen every Sunday here or it was moved to Tregastel or they alternate, I don't know. Anyway, it seems like we're not really into markets here because there definitely wasn't one happening HERE today. But oh well! Since we're already here, we can get everything for a French Sunday breakfast. I managed quite well with my French at the bakery (this time I didn't accidentally buy a whole cake). It went well at the Fromagerie too and the other food provider took care of the butcher shop in a slightly panicked manner but it had to be done because there were long lines at both shops and without dividing the work, we wouldn't have had breakfast today.

After breakfast, we enjoyed some tea and a book on the couch. Just doing nothing for once! It was nice.

The tea sausage was also found...

We'll see what tomorrow brings tomorrow.

For now, a glass of cider!

Until then!
