Hello Vilnius ☀️

As you know, I took the train from Warsaw in the morning to the Lithuanian capital Vilnius. Due to the time change, the journey took an hour less than expected. Nevertheless, the break in Mockava when changing to a Lithuanian train came in handy 🫠 Even now, after just a few days, I can say that I find it remarkable and simply cool that it is possible to travel in Europe so easily. You have to appreciate that!

In the pictures you can see that the weather was perfect for travelling, which luckily also awaited me in Vilnius. I arrived at around 5:30 p.m. local time 🙂 On the train I met a friendly flatmate from Kaiserslautern and we arranged to meet for dinner. Before that I had to go to the hostel and go shopping. I have to admit that I felt a bit strange about the local conditions at first. But what else can you expect from your first real hostel lifestyle? With a little patience I found everything I wanted in the supermarket. At the dinner that followed there were no local culinary highlights, but we got to know each other better and decided to end the evening in bars. €2.20 for a beer doesn't sound bad at all, does it? 😄 I definitely had a great evening and got to know a new card game 🍻
