Thousand Gates and the Imperial Palace

On Tuesday morning, we went to the Temple of Thousand Gates and wandered through them.

In the afternoon, we visited another park with another temple.

In the evening, we planned to visit the five-story pagoda in Kyoto. However, it closes at 4:00 PM, so we had to be satisfied with a view from a distance.

Since it was our last evening together, we went out to eat and enjoyed a cozy evening.

After packing our things and clearing out the apartment on Wednesday, we met with the others again and visited the Imperial Palace. However, it did not meet our expectations as it was very plain and only a small area was accessible.

In the afternoon, we said goodbye to each other. Some went back to Tokyo to fly back to Germany, while others stayed in Kyoto, and Eliane and I continued to Hiroshima.
