After visiting Tropea and having our first pizza with a great view of Stromboli, we decided to book the ferry to Greece on Saturday. Next stop, Aspromonte National Park. On the way to the park, we see huge olive trees. They are all connected with nets for the later harvest. At the moment, the nets are rolled up. After many hairpin turns, we finally reach a reservoir and it feels like South Tyrol. A little bit further and we arrive at today's campsite. It's a starting point for the hike to the waterfall. It's wonderfully secluded by a small stream. For Burki, this is the most challenging hike so far. It's often overgrown, narrow, and there are loose stones. I would have been happy to go only until the waterfall, but the old German man has to go all the way to the end of the trail, which ends at the river. The night was pleasantly quiet and in the morning, only one hiker passed by.
