Winter in Kelowna

After finally arriving in Kelowna with the Greyhound, I spent a week at Samsun Hostel. After those days, I really needed contact with other people.
Since the hostel is only half occupied at this time of year, the stay was very pleasant, most of the time there were only two of us in the room :)
But eventually I needed my peace and quiet, so after a week I booked an Airbnb. Right by the lake, downtown Kelowna within walking distance, very convenient without a car.
Snow fell in the first few days after arrival. Finally winter :) A wonderfully beautiful winter wonderland, especially since the sun shines here most of the time in Kelowna!
Kelowna's downtown is really charming. It looks like a little western town, with many small buildings and shops. You won't find any major chains here, they are located in the shopping malls outside.
The city is surrounded by mountains, but they're not so high that I feel enclosed.
