Leaving San Blas, we leave the coasts. Even if it sounds a bit strange to many. But at some point, you're kind of done with beach life.

Since we noticed that Naima broke off a piece of tooth, we will visit the vet in Tepic. Unfortunately, they are not equipped with only antibiotics. In Guadalajara, we will look for a larger clinic.

But now we are heading into the highlands. Warning of new animals and a fantastic mixture of banana trees, palm trees, and other exotic plants accompany us.

We drive 13 km of the finest cobblestone on the Volcan de Ceboruco. Some fumaroles still testify to the slight activity, the existing measuring station indicates that complete trust in calm is not given.

We take a longer break and start the descent towards the next stage goal, which promises culinary delights.
