Rainbow Beach - Day 1+2; Ride and Beach Visit

Update 04.03.

At 10 o'clock we had to leave our spot and so we made our way to Rainbow Beach.

After 4 hours we were already at our destination and looked for a campsite. We found a beautiful place to stay, which was right on the beach, where we spent the rest of the day.

As it slowly got dark, we showered with our 10 liter water canister, which was a real adventure. But the homemade shower worked! :)

Unfortunately, we only noticed late that we had little flies visiting us in our camper. So we spent half the night chasing the little mosquitoes, whose bite or sting burns pretty bad.

Today, the 05.03., we started the day at the beach again and stayed in the sun for as long as possible.

The bites on our arms had disappeared, but our legs are covered in itchy spots. We're not sure what kind of creatures they were, but our guess is cunning sandflies.

In the afternoon, we checked into the hostel, from where we will be picked up for our Fraser Island trip.

From tomorrow, we will drive along the island's beaches for three days in jeeps. I'm very excited to see what I have to report 😊
