My trip to the Pinnacles started at 7am, which are located approximately 250 kilometers north of Perth. The drive first went through the Swan Valley, which is a diverse agricultural area known for vegetable, fruit, and wine production. Further north, the landscape turned golden yellow. Dry grass fields were replaced by oat and wheat fields that extended over the undulating topography.
The first destination was the Benedictine mission of New Norcia, founded by Spanish monks. New Norcia is Australia's only monastic town.
From there, I headed northwest to the Pinnacles. Here, limestone pillars up to 4 meters high rise from the ground. After a short stop, I followed the coastal road back to Perth.
