Day 10

I didn't sleep well that night, maybe it was because of the book I was reading. It was good. Very good indeed. But I had 3. I had packed 3 books for my journey and I was almost done with the 2nd one. Where will it end? I'm a bookworm.📚 Anyway, I had breakfast and packed everything calmly. No stress. Today, I was heading towards Bordeaux. I took toll roads and took a break at a gas station. I saw a blue T4 California with Munich license plates. I parked next to it. I got into a conversation with Martin, the owner of the T4, about the usual T4 problems. Talking shop and all. After 20 minutes, he said goodbye. He was heading towards Toulouse. On the other hand, I was going to Blaye. There, I wanted to cross the Bordeaux sea channel by ferry. But before that, I had to pay at the toll station, which didn't accept cash. So, card. Hm, it doesn't take credit cards, so a regular bank card. That doesn't work either. After trying both cards 5 times, a van pulled up behind me. I got out and explained my situation. Sebastián and Claire paid for me and I gave them cash. It worked out well.

I arrived 5 minutes before the ferry was supposed to arrive. What a planning😂 But as it is here in the south, the ferry took about 65 pages in the book and 45 minutes to arrive. So, I got on the ferry and enjoyed the view.

Arriving in Lamarque, I only had a 15-minute drive ahead of me, but it felt like it took forever because my playlist was empty. When I arrived at the parking spot, I sunbathed for a bit and called my family. Then I finished reading my book.

I had one or two beers and contemplated whether I should go out for dinner. Good idea, I didn't feel like cooking anyway😁 When I arrived at the pizzeria I had chosen, I ordered a beer and a pizza Toscana (a little inappropriate in France, but whatever). It was delicious nonetheless. I paid and drank more 1664 beers on the bus. Time to hit the hay, it was already late.
