A half year...

For over three months now, Sweden 🇸🇪 has been my current home.

More precisely, Uppsala, the fourth largest city in the country.

During the week, I am a diligent little lab mouse 👩🏼‍🔬🔬 in a research group at the Biomedical Institute at the university.

But on the weekends, I'm drawn to the surrounding nature 🏕.

Standard equipment: tent, mat, and sleeping bag, and off I go!

There are many hiking trails around Uppsala, and I chose the Upplandsleden.

With its almost 400km divided into 31 stages, it's just right for me 🙋🏼

I started in Uppsala and then went as far as my feet would take me.

On my first weekend trip, I went through dreamy forests, rocky paths, and beautiful lakes. In total, I covered nearly 40km, so the bus ride back home on Sunday was very relaxing 🚌
