03.08. the journey begins

3:15 am wake up, 6:00 am departure from Stuttgart Airport to Amsterdam. From there, continue to Houston at 10:00 am. 

Arrival at 1:00 pm local time (7 hours time difference)

Our first adventure: Aiken & I (Luna) have to go through a different passport control than Dad upon arrival in Houston. Since he takes so long, we both go and get our luggage first. Dad doesn't come and we start to worry. After 1 hour, we receive a message from our aunt that he is already outside with them! What happened: he was taken by security personnel because he was trying to smuggle avocados into the country. 

We are delighted to see Papa's brother. 

We are staying here in 'The Woodlands' with our aunt, uncle, and cousins until Monday. They have a super nice house in an area that represents the USA. With a pool and lots of space!

In the evening, we go straight to the first typical American experience, a baseball game. The Houston team plays in one of the supposedly newest stadiums. Meeeeegaaaa impressive! Soooo big & lots of people. Although we don't understand the game at all, it's fun to watch!

Already missing our good German beer!

Going home late at night. Finally sleep properly!
