Finally a Caribbean like from a picture book! The motorboat takes you to Playa Crystal in the Tayrona National Park!!
We're glad we didn't take the bus because the boat ride itself was an experience. We scream as we bounce over the waves and we all have a lot of fun :D After about 50 minutes of boating we arrive at a beautiful sandy beach with palm trees and crystal clear water.
Asma and Marius explore the underwater world while snorkeling. We treat ourselves to a pompous piña colada and enjoy the fantastic weather to the fullest. Time passes far too quickly. At half past four we drive back to Taganga. Asma and Plaice are so tired from the sun that they nod away on the boat ride. Nina is bored :P
We end the day at the beach at sunset by chilling out on Taganga Beach (we're already wearing our bathing clothes). Asma is having cards read and a guy comes by with a guitar and a kitten on his shoulder. While he sings us a serenade, the little kitty explores the world around him. Nina is afraid that we will soon be completely surrounded by people :D
We have dinner at the Pachamama Restaurant and then pick up our backpacks from the hostel. We arrive at the Airbnb completely drenched in sweat and have a relaxing evening on the roof terrace. Nina, Scholle and Marius are exhausted and go to sleep early. Lissi and Asma play Tiktaktoe and sink ships until Asma realizes that she forgot to draw all the ships, well whatever, next try :D
Unfortunately, the next day we go back to Cartagena. For Nina your trip is already over :(
We're staying one more night because we're going paragliding the next day! In the morning the seven of us pack up our things and walk to the Cajero shortly after 10 a.m. (as always later than we actually wanted to leave :P). In the supermarket, two Cajeros, Lissis and Marius, don't want to accept credit cards. So Scholle takes off - strangely enough, her credit card works here. We flag down the next taxi driver visibly late and catch the slowest taxi driver of all time. We arrive at the paragliding spot in a hurry, about 30 minutes late. But they don't seem to be ready yet, so no stress at all. We sit down in a shady area and wait for things to finally get started. Asma is the first to dare and takes to the skies in a motorized vehicle. In the meantime we order cocktails. After 15 minutes, Asma lands back on the beach, beaming up to her ears. Now it's Marius' turn. He also arrives safely back on the ground with a grin. Lissi is allowed next and Marius gets a massage first. Finally it's plaice. It's a lot of fun to see the sea and the beach from above! That was really a really nice gift from Lissi!!! The best Eva
After the adrenaline rush, we sip our cocktails and swim in the sea. Plaice is starting to get hungry (as always feels :D) and we don't want her to get hangry, so we make our way to an oriental restaurant.
Back at the Airbnb we chill on our balcony and prepare for the evening. Because, it's hard to believe, we finally want to go party! Because we're dawdling around for so long - as always :P - we don't get going until around 11 p.m. We show the taxi driver on Google Maps the Club Ibiza, which the guy from the paragliding recommended to us. The taxi driver takes us to the center. We are confused because the club is actually in the south of Cartagena. We discuss with the taxi driver. Apparently there are two Ibiza clubs in Cartagena. We try to explain to the taxi driver that we want to go to the club in the south of the city. Either he doesn't understand what we want from him or he doesn't want to go there. Anyway, we get out to get into another taxi. After a 20-minute drive, Asma tells the new taxi driver that she likes his music (electronic music) and asks him whether that kind of music is playing in the club in Ibiza where we are going. The taxi driver laughs and says that they only play reggaeton there. Now we are completely confused. Where are these two floors with reggaeton and techno??? According to our taxi driver at the club in the city center. So we turn around again and drive back to the center, exactly to the place where the first taxi driver let us out hahaha how stupid can you be?! Wasted 20 euros... yolo :D
In the club we pay another 7 euros entry. At least electronic music is playing up on the roof terrace - you can't call it techno. We get something to drink and try to dance in the crowd - which turns out to be very difficult because people are constantly trying to pass you and you are pushed away. We get to know two Brazilian women, chat for a bit and then decide to go downstairs to the Reggaeton Floor. Here we have space and can really dance away. A dude standing in the corner doesn't know what's happening to him when he suddenly becomes part of our dance group - but he celebrates and goes off with us :D After an overpriced cocktail, we decide to take a taxi back to the Airbnb. After all, we have to get out early tomorrow and be at the port by 8:30 a.m.
