We have now arrived high up in northwestern Tasmania. A lovely little town with character. A characteristic that is very rare in towns. Stanley is located on a peninsula, at the foot of an extinct volcano called "The Nut". When you let your gaze wander into the distance here and see only the endless ocean in 3 directions, you feel a little bit like you've reached the end of the world. The stiff breeze and the quickly moving clouds intensify that feeling. There is nothing spectacular here. Nevertheless, we really like the atmosphere here. Everything is a little more relaxed than it already is on this island.
Today, after dark, we want to go out and see if we can spot some "Fairy Penguins".
