Tag 301: Kitsilano/Vancouver

It's dark and cold outside. Inside, the light of neon tubes flickers. It is 10:35 pm. We are sitting at Vancouver airport. After a few relaxed days in Victoria, we spent a few even more relaxed days in Vancouver's Kitsilano district. In addition to delicious food, watching movies on snowy days, and walks on the beach, we were particularly interested in observing the Halloween days. Children here run in the most extravagant costumes through the leaf-covered streets, saying 'Trick or Treat' from house to house. But that's not all. Every house is decorated from top to bottom, every restaurant has some special and everyone participates. One last time, we let ourselves be enchanted by the beauty of Vancouver, one of the most livable cities in the world. Now we wait at the airport for our flight to Bali, Indonesia.

Canada, or at least the small part we have seen, has impressed us. Snow-covered mountains, deep blue sea, dark green forests, and a vibrant wildlife. In the middle of it all, a modern, clean, and functioning metropolis with friendly and helpful people. We will definitely come back.
