☀️💨🌊

Publicat: 22.10.2020

Today we stroll from Wenningstedt to Westerland. The sun is shining, the temperatures are pleasant, and there is a breeze. What is now on my head is no longer a hairstyle. But I enjoy the long walk by the sea. The sandy areas are soooo big, Franzi likes that, and so do I. Eventually, nature demands its right and we leave the beach and continue strolling on the dune path. Everywhere, to the right, to the left, in the back, in the front, above and below, there are dunes and fruits of the Syltrose - rose hips. Have I ever walked through / along so many sea rose hips? I don't think so.

In Westerland we settle down for lunch at "Moin Sylt" (https://moin-sylt.de/), luckily I can persuade Franzi to try fries with truffle and garlic, heavenly.

We decide to drive to Hörnum. The nature reserve is located at the southern tip of the island. It is a beach and dune landscape and is one of the most threatened habitats in Schleswig-Holstein as well as one of the wildest pieces of Germany. We are very impressed, we can't get enough of it...

We can't get into the Sansibar - it's full - but we will never know if it's because of our full shopping bag from Edeka or the 6-pack of water.
