Ivar also said that he felt dizzy because the whole thing was so crooked and wonky. I think that's normal because we worked with natural materials and nothing in the world is straight.
I threw the lazy cats' food into the egg cartons. Ha! They had to think about how to get to the food at the bottom when their snouts got too wide! They quickly learned to use their paws. Oyen, the greedy one, was the most patient cat and managed to clamber up to the last crumbs. We've been messing around for the last few days. On Thursday we cleaned up the whole place.On Friday I planted all my young plants in their pots. In total I grew 6 loofah plants, 1 sunflower, 1 basil and since the ginger in the kitchen was already growing roots and leaves, I buried that too. They all got a label and that was it.
Saturday was our departure day. The 3 weeks were really nice, but the last week was particularly exhausting because things got a bit weird between Marlon & Laura and us. The two of them were super busy with applications and CVs (they want to apply for a dual study program in Germany). It was therefore difficult to talk about anything else. On top of that, they sometimes argued and the (board) walls are very thin. So when everyone is in bed and the two of them start shouting "Shut up!" at each other, no one has a good night (except Ivar, who was already asleep).
So the departure was not only sad. Our next destination is Georgetown on the island of Penang. MD took us to the train station. We took the train to Butterworth and from there ferries go over to Penang.
In the evening we ate a shawarma, which was what Ivar wanted. Georgetown is a culinary city with diverse cuisine. There are Arabic influences, a little India with lots of Indian restaurants, Chinese restaurants in Chinatown and of course Malaysian food.On Sunday we ate wonderful sourdough bread in a delicious bakery! Yummy!
Afterwards we looked at a lot of street art, walked along the harbor and the waterfront promenade.

This week we finished building the shelter at the campsite. Ivar hoped it wouldn't collapse before we left. I think we did a pretty good job!
