FAQs - lots of important information

1. Are you really going on a world trip?
Oh nonsense, we lock ourselves in the house for weeks, search for royalty-free images, and photoshopped ourselves in.

2. Why are you flying so far away?
Moni still has a winter allergy. This needs to be treated with sun therapy...

4. Isn't the trip dangerous?
Statistically, more children get injured in traffic accidents than on vacation... PARENTS, take more vacations!

5. Do you have dangerous destinations?
We are in some big cities with a lot of traffic.

6. What about wild animals?
Hopefully, we will see some of them too.

7. You're mean to celebrate Erik's first birthday so far away!
Why? We can't imagine a better gift than celebrating the birthday in the sun. Besides, everyone is free to accompany us on the journey.

8. You just want a babysitter!

9. What is your route?
Probably always towards the west.

10. Do you write a travel report every day?
No, but we try to update the blog every few days... sometimes we may not have Wi-Fi.

11. How can we contact you?
The easiest way is via SMS. We will probably respond promptly.

12. Why don't you respond?
Possible reasons could be no Wi-Fi, no network, no time, or point 13

13. Will I get a postcard?
Sure, register with 'mypostcard' (online or as an app) and enter the friendship code 'UPTMHX'. Then let us know briefly that you have done it, preferably with your address If someone unknown finds the blog, please don't expect us to send you a postcard, but we would be happy if you use our friendship code

14. What if something happens?
We are insured by Allianz.

15. How do you finance your trip?
Keep costs low, save money, and product placements, see point 11 & 12 (do we actually have to write to the companies or do they pay automatically when the company name is mentioned?)

16. When will you come back?
As soon as Moni is treated (see point 2), or/and we simply miss dear people.

17. Why are you driving so far away from your friends and family for such a long time?

Phew, how can we explain this in 3 lines... Let's just call it fasting time... when we come back, it's like grilling for the first time after winter, only even more beautiful
