Elbe Cycle Path Torgau - Riesa

Finally back on the bike :)

To catch the early train at 7:37 am from Hannover to Torgau, the alarm clock went off at 5:20 am... then 4 hours train ride with a corona mask.

And who knows Torgau? We were surprised by a pretty little town with delicious lunch. Vacation in Germany? Works great!

Then on the bike and always upstream along the Elbe river. Dikes like at the North Sea and WIND! We rarely saw the Elbe river like the sea at low tide. But when it did show up, there were also great castles on the banks.

Day 1 is done: 66km in total and despite thunder and wind from left and right, not a single drop of rain.

Tomorrow we will sleep longer than today!
