Main cycle path Gemünden am Main - Karlstadt

Today just a short stretch along the Main River to Karlstadt. Unlike the previous rivers (including Leine, Fulda, Sinn, Hess. Saale), the Main River is a large navigable stream. In Karlstadt, we met up with friends who are traveling with their motorhome towards Hannover. Shared meal and a city tour in sunshine - wonderful. We were surprised today by the public holiday Assumption of Mary - oops... we have arrived in Bayern! Everything closed except the bakery.. Lucky us :)
