The team event is Olympic for the first time and of course "Chefsache" when it comes to directing. That's why Beni Giger is now on site as well. We are allowed to help with the camera rides in the snow. Everything was actually in the can, until Emanuel from the FIS came up with the idea of setting the gates 8m apart instead of 9m. And as luck would have it, the gate flags were in the way during the first camera rides. After some discussions, it was decided not to film the starts crossing each other. So the problem was more or less elegantly solved.
It was exciting today to watch the pistencrew set the outside poles. The subordinate of Hans Pieren actually managed to set the pole on the inside instead of the outside for the first 5 gates. Hans got louder accordingly.
At the finish, we were allowed to put a fixed camera on a rather wobbly podium. The person in charge of the Omega timekeeping team, who had just set up his photo finish camera on the same podium, was not very happy.
In the evening, we had Chickeria followed by bowling. The highlight was a 4-D roller coaster simulator.
