Bye bye Flores - welcome back to Bali

As there were some inquiries about our well-being, here's a little concluding report from Flores.

The last 3 days at our Coconut Resort have been really good for us. Not sitting in the car for hours but relaxing on the beach and enjoying the sea. In the resort, you could rent kayaks. Of course, we did that every day and paddled out. Yesterday, I was sitting in the front and of course, I saw a little fin. I showed it to Daniela and she said, wow, a little shark. We followed the fin and it was strange because it was moving very slowly with the current. It turned out to be a small branch. We laughed. But it's a different feeling when you're sitting or snorkeling in a kayak on the open sea.

In our resort, there are many coconut trees and yesterday there was sometimes a stronger wind and the coconuts really fell from the trees. I was amazed. An employee laughed and said, yes, be careful. Every time we left our bungalow, we were like Hans looking into the air.

I'm looking forward to Bali now. We saw some great things on Flores, but the island lacks flair. It's also so dirty, you can't imagine. We were taken to the airport at 6:00 am today. You could already see the locals sitting on the side of the road (in the dirt) and selling their goods. Just the sight of it made me feel sick again.
