In our experience, the first two questions our children ask regarding the travel destination are as follows: 'Does the accommodation have a pool?' and 'Is there also a water slide park nearby?'
Since our level of relaxation is also dependent on the happiness of our kids, answering these questions correctly is essential. There is absolutely no room for error here. However, we are no longer amateurs and were able to confidently answer both questions in the affirmative. :-)
The next challenge is to not immediately bring up the topic of water slide temples on the agenda on the day of our arrival. Too much sugar too early rarely allows the little 'horses' to jump as high as their parents would like.
Therefore, it is always important to start by teasing them a little... You know: '...Children, if you are well-behaved...then...maybe...but only then...!'. Since our children definitely fall into the category of well-behaved, we were able to announce success today.
Slide & Splash, located between Lagos and Albufeira, was the destination of our day trip. Swimming, sliding, jumping, and splashing were on the agenda. Nadi is not particularly keen on this type of leisure activity, so I regularly take over here. Whether it's Orlando, Mallorca, or the Algarve - I am the lifeguard. Just me, with these children, each of whom naturally wants to go somewhere else at all times...but well, they say that a man grows with his tasks. So into the hustle and bustle we go. We claimed two square meters of lying area and jumped into the cool water. The children were happy, I survived unharmed, and after five hours it was time to call it a day - damp monkey...or something like that. In any case, we left the area with wrinkled skin to pick up our mom.
Nadi took this time out to quickly explore the coastal strip between Albufeira and Lagos. It's that easy to make a family happy. Awesome! :-)
The rest is quickly told. Grab some food, watch Bayern and head to our small, fine terrace. Now we'll enjoy some chill live jazz from a nearby bar and switch to evening relaxation mode.
Hoping that Leo Messi also finds some peace today, we bid farewell with a heartfelt
